Alva High Performance Pelvic Floor Trainer

The New Generation Of Pelvic Floor Toners

The Alva Pelvic Floor Trainer represents a brand-new, innovative way to tone up your pelvic floor.  By putting together the power of electronic toning contractions with the power of vibrations, a potent combination is formed which means

  • Fast Reduction of Stress and Urge Incontinence
  • Faster Muscle Strengthening
  • Better Vaginal Toning
  • Heightened Sexual Response
More and more women are now realising that traditional "squeeze and release" kegel exercises have their limitations and are turning towards using electronic toning devices to speed up their results.  There is no doubt that by increasing the number of contractions in each exercise session, (as these devices do by many hundred times) faster and better results are achieved.

The Alva Pelvic Floor Trainer has taken things up another level and the creator, Dr Med. Gunnar Leivseth, believes that by combining vibrations and electronic contractions even faster results are achieived than by using an electronic device alone.  Indeed, his studies show that when using the Alva, 95-100% of the muscle fibres are stimulated, compared with between 40-80% with a standard electronic toner.

Alva Is available from StressNoMore, who are one of the largest UK retailers of pelvic floor toners

Stress incontinence is a widespread female problem with around 1 in 5 members of the population having some degree of leakage.  The risks increase with age, the number of children you have and your BMI.

Vibration training was originally developed for astronauts as a way of halting muscle and bone mass deterioration caused by having long periods of inactivity.  It was then used by top level athletes to imcrease muscle strength and this lead to research measuring the effects on the pelvic floor muscles and it was discovered that when combined with electronic toning devices which made the muscles contract involuntarily, between 95-100% of the muscles were being "worked" when compared with a still-impressive 40-80% when using a standard electronic exerciser alone.

The Alva Pelvic Floor Trainer was developed in close co-operation with technical and medical expertise, resulting in a highly effective yet very user-friendly device. By combining traditional muscle strength training with vibration training, activity is increased in the neuromuscular system of the pelvic floor.

Vibration in the pelvic floor results in an auto reflex whereby the muscle fibres stretch and then contract.  This contraction is far stronger than that seen with normal contractions.  This means that for the vast majority of women, 5 minutes of training a day is all that is needed.

The Alva has two pre-defined programs.  A "beginners" program, for those who find locating and working their pelvic muscles impossible, or for those with very little measurable strength.  Program two is suitable for those who are able to contract their pelvic floor muscles.

As with any muscle groups throughout the body, it is important to allow sufficient rest periods between exercise sessions as it is during these "rests" when the body creates new muscle fibre, thereby increasing strength.
